Indian Travel Agent: Why You Must Have One

Article by Suchita

India is a diverse country. Because of its sheer size and diversity, India is a quite difficult destination, if not impossible, for the foreign traveler to experience and enjoy holiday moments to their full potential without a good Indian travel agent. Imagine a situation that despite all the planning, you fail to take into account last-minute decisions or simply mesmerized by the countryside beauty you are stuck up late in a far off village. You don’t know local language. Your camp is 5 km away from your current destination. And you forgot the way back. What do you do now? Certainly, if you had had services of some travel agent this would not happen. An Indian travel agent would tell you the ins and outs of your itinerary and save you from getting into such situation in the first place.

There are reasons galore why you should have the services of Indian travel agency while on the go.

The travel agents plan your itinerary so that you enjoy each and every moment of your holiday. They are professionals in their own right and help you in all kinds of deals be they flights, hotels, car rentals or even camping some where out!

Indian travel agents can help you find the perfect place to stay. They have knowledge about all the hotels in and around your destination, and which one would best suit to your budget and taste. They can acquaint you about the best things about the places, cuisines, resorts and journey. Indian travel agent can make your journey a dream come true.

Professional agents are well trained in the job. They make sure that you don’t miss the must-see spots, museums, parks, nature preserves, historical sites, palaces, temples etc. They also help you acquaint local laws and regulations and obligations to be observed at particular spots in India. For example, while going to Sikh Gurudwara or Jama Masjid you should be well covered. At some spots videography is prohibited. And yet for other places, you are supposed to maintain a particular demeanor. For instance at Bahai Temple you must maintain silence. Although this kind information can be had at the spots as well, Indian travel agents will familiarize you with them well in advance.

True, the Internet is rife with simply all kinds of information just a click away. But it is confusing to distinguish updated information from out-of-date stuff on the internet. For instance, live travel agents can provide those confusing international flight transfers which the Internet search engines won’t explain. What’s more, they will take care of last-moment cancellations. Just call your Indian travel agent and tell him that you need to cancel your trip, he ‘ll take care of it all.

With the growing competition in Indian tourism industry, travel agencies give you highly competitive price quotes which a website price generator will not. The agencies have thousands of travel agents in their network all across India and they are so competent in their trade that they will handle all your trip queries.

So, next time, if you are planning your holidays in India for a lifetime experience on an Indian beach or hill station, try an Indian travel agency. They will personalize the experience for you based on where you want to go and what you want to do.

Tips For Finding A Cheap Air Travel Fare

Tips For Finding A Cheap Air Travel Fare

Article by Adam Snyder

No matter where you are headed, finding a cheap air travel fare is easy to do. When it comes to cheap air travel there are certain steps you need to take to ensure you are getting the best deal for the best seat. What most people don’t know is that every seat can be booked at a huge discount. Now that you know every seat is capable of being discounted let me tell you exactly how you can get them.
The first thing you need to try is simply calling the airline themselves and asking for any unsold seats. All airlines don’t like to wait to see if the flight will be booked or not and therefore will book callers in seats that are open. What you need to know here is that most airlines will try to place you in middle seats since those have a very hard time filling but just tell them you won’t sit in a middle seat and everything should go smoothly.
Another way you can get cheap air travel fares is by signing up for a mileage program that all airlines have. The way you need to do this is by signing up at the counter because the clerks will get commission if they sign you up and when they do this they are more likely to give you a discount on your flight if it is not already paid for. What I like to do since I fly a lot is through around my air miles and make it look like if I don’t get a deal that I won’t fly with them. That day will come when you have enough air miles to do that, but for the time being stick to the simpler methods.
Another tip that I have is to book your air travel with a credit card company. Doing this will normally get you a higher ticket class and sometimes better seats. And best of all booking with a credit card company usually gives you cash back on the flight. When I first used this method I had an American Express card that got me a first class seat going and coming and after my cash back and the discount the flight was less than half of what a coach flight would have cost if I wouldn’t have used the credit card to book the air fare.
Always remember these few tips to getting a cheap air travel fare. If you want even more tips then check out these tips to get eextremely cheap airline tickets.

Why do you need a Travel Agent

Why do you need a Travel Agent

Article by Vibha Babbar

Most people hire a travel agent to avoid travel related hassles. On the other hand, there are many tourists who consider hiring travel agents a rip-off.
Everyone needs a well planned and organized holiday. But if people are not hiring travel agents, it’s not because they think they don’t need it. It’s because they find them costlier than a self-arranged tour. This article would help you know why hiring a travel agent is always the best deal.

Travel agents aren’t costlier like you think them to be. Then how do they manage with profits? Simply by purchasing the packages in bulk and getting huge discounts. They get business to the travel companies and arrange everything right from reservation to transportation, food and local travel places to ensure you a comfortable journey.

Sure you could do all this by yourself. But I know a family who ruined their otherwise great trip to Spain, because they thought that they could manage it all by themselves. The person damaged the suitcase during the fly and struggled his way to the hotel. There he could not hire a local car house because all the cars were booked by then. The hotel charged extra per day in the name of some ABC fees. He requested to the manager, but to no avail.

How could the travel agents help them in the same scenario? First and foremost, travel agents are experienced. As arranging travels have been their domain, they have a understanding of ‘what provides what’.

Secondly, they get business to the companies (airways, railways, roadways, hotel, local transport, food stores) who would never let their clients go. One travel agent means a lot of prospects to them. Hence they fulfill all their requirements in order to keep them hooked.

Thirdly and most importantly, they are dependable. You cannot arrange for every unforeseen occurrence when you are moving out from your town. The travel agents do charge their commission, but it is worth the amount of ease and comfort they provide. So by booking your trip with them, it becomes their responsibility and since they have better knowledge and understanding of accommodation and transportation related facilities, chances are that things would go finer with their assistance rather than your own.

A regular traveler might do away with a travel agent, but if you are planning a hard-core vacation, oblige yourself by hiring a travel agent. It’s a lot more economical, and of course makes your trip stress free.

Finding travel agents is easy now!

Article by frankierusso

Mailing lists – are they really useful in helping you locate a travel agent? Well, mailing lists are a new concept that has gained momentum with the advent of internet. These mailing lists are generally a database of the service providers, which the customers are in search of. A mailing list for travel agents is of utmost importance, because only a travel agent can make all the arrangements to make your tour a grand success.

Where does one find a travel agent? The answer, in the current scenario, has to be the internet. There are scores of websites ready with a list of agents. But, such a list has to be from a trustworthy and reputed website. After all, a traveler could be visiting a totally new destination where all the facilities, including boarding, lodging, and transportation, have to be pre-arranged.

Reputation is the key for any service provider. Here are a few tips that will help you choose a travel agent par excellence:

* He must be licensed

* Have in-depth knowledge about tourism

* Should have a strong network, preferably across the globe

* Must book flight or train tickets

* Ability to arrange accommodation

* Allocate a tourist guide for sightseeing

* A good fleet of limousines, cars, buses, and vans

* Must ensure tourist safety

* Have a contingency plan in case of any disaster

* An excellent and round the clock customer service

The travel agents mailing list must be constantly updated. There is simply no point in a listing that contains the same old agents, which the clients are not very particular about. Also, as the saying goes ‘variety is the spice of life’, every customer would want to try out the services of a new agent. Yet another advantage in changing your agent is that you have an opportunity to know about the various deals that are on offer for the travelers.

Did you know that there can be a customized mailing list of agents? Yes, the travelers have the option to specify the services they expect from the agents and a list that is in sync with the customer requirement is created. Further, while purchasing mailing lists, a traveler has the option to choose the format in which the lists should be present.

When you need the contact details of some of the best travel agents but simply don’t have the time to search, the best alternative is to resort to the mailing list.
