Cuba An Ideal Holiday Destination

December 31st, 2009 No comments

Cuba’s beaches are unique for the rich tones of their clear warm water. The island’s coasts include everything from challenging cliffs to peaceful coves, the setting for incredible sun and sea Cuba holidays.

There is an average of 330 sunny days a year, with few clouds. The main tourist resorts (including the ones on the cays) have international airports, and the excellent hotel infrastructure is complemented with a wide range of extra hotel facilities (car and bus rentals, marinas, scuba-diving centers, shops, beauty parlors, fitness centers, etc.), entertainment during the day and at night, excursions to nearby cities, medical attention, and special family and honeymoon Cuba holiday packages.

The cays which form the outermost fringe of the archipelago are particularly enticing. They have been left in nearly their natural state, with their original flora and fauna, so they still look much as they did when Christopher Columbus discovered these lands over five centuries ago.

Many places on Cuba’s coasts are already famous: Varadero, Guardalavaca, Esmeralda, Santa Maria del Mar, Santa Lucia and Ancn Beaches, which are loved by tourists from all over the world, and Coco, Guillermo, Largo del Sur, Santa Maria, Las Brujas and Levisa Cays.

Cuba has 36 scuba-diving centers, which are related to over 500 carefully selected sites in lush underwater seascapes. The show begins just a few feet from the coast, and it keeps expanding as you go out, climaxing in a slope or sharp drop.

Coral reefs extend along practically the entire edge of the broad insular shelf (for around 1984 miles, or 3200 kilometers). More than half of these reefs are separated from the main island by large areas of shallow water and groups of cays.

Caves, profusely decorated vertical walls, tunnels, cliffs and channels offer endless options for scuba diving both during the day and at night…. Experiences go from simple observation to swimming near large fish in complete safety.

Cuba without a doubt is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the Caribbean. Combine that fact with a super rich history and you have the perfect formula for an unforgettable holiday.

Beach Holidays To Cuba.

November 13th, 2009 No comments

In this write up I want to provide my observation about these beach holidays to Cuba that are offered by big tour operators at a very attractive price. Cuba has an enormous demand as a tourist target for holiday hunters and one of its major features is its beaches.

In order to be more specific lets take a look at Guardalavaca area, this paradise of turquoise color beaches and white sand is a favorite among vacationers and has an international airport about 40 minutes by couch located in the province of Holguin.

In this beach area you can get pure leisure and lodging standards that array from 3 to 5 star quality properties. There are only 3 hotels in the area so you will in no way feel compacted by the multitude of beach lovers that can be found on any popular beach location around the Globe. If you are traveling with your children Cayo Santa Maria presents the opportunity of accepting kids but if you are looking for a property for adults only this location can also go well with your demands.

All of the hotels in this tiny deserted island are all inclusive so you do not require to go seeking where to eat or amusement outside the hotel. Superb spectacles are offered by the staff and choreographers of the hotels in their outdoor theaters in the evenings or in the swimming pools in the afternoons. Fishing, diving and all kinds of tours are also accessible from the excursion counters at the reception area of each hotel.

Lots of table games, aerobics, pool games, archery, salsa and Spanish introduction lessons and water sports that do not need fuel are incorporated within the cost you paid for you package holiday. You will not need to pay out a penny while staying in your resort. All of them have one buffet restaurant and at least 2 or 3 a la carte restaurants. A la carte restaurants have to be booked though through the reception of the hotel you are staying in.

Even though you have almost every thing you need in these beach resorts I always recommend you visit at least Havana or any of the interesting cities in Cuba that will provide you with a real insight of what Cuba is about. I mentioned at the beginning that these big tour operators have very good prices but they only specialize in beach holidays and if you want to combine centres then the package gets a bit pricy with them.

If you are looking to combine in your holidays beaches, history, culture and impressive architecture then get in touch with any of the smaller tour operators. They have very good contracts with all the service providers in Cuba and can put together whichever itinerary within the island you have in mind.

If you don’t come across any tailor made holidays specialist I still suggest you book overnight excursions to any of the Cuban major cities from the excursion desks in your hotel. So you can have a good feeling that you have been to Cuba this is a must. Having said this I will leave you hoping your trip to Cuba will be an unforgettable experience.

Holidays In Ibiza For Grown Ups

October 19th, 2009 No comments

Escape your daily routine and come to the island of Ibiza. Ibiza is a Balearic Island off the coast of Spain. One of the smaller Balearic Islands, Ibiza is quite different from the other resort destinations in Spain. While resorts, restaurants and other venues welcome families with young children, Ibiza is generally known for being an adults only paradise. Holidays in Ibiza are perfect for professionals who want to get away to a place filled with other like minded adults.

If you’re a sun worshiper, Ibiza is your haven. When you want a grown up vacation, you’ll find Ibiza to be much more satisfying than other islands in the region. The playground of the rich and famous, Ibiza is always known to be inhabited by fashion icons and tabloid stars. You may very well rub elbows with one of your favorite celebrities when you come to Ibiza.

The city of Ibiza surrounds Dalt Villa, the remains of a walled city that dates back to the medieval period. Make sure to visit the Ibiza Cathedral on the hill that was built in the 14th century. The once Gothic styled cathedral was fully refurbished in the late 18th century and was remodeled in the baroque style. Learn about the dedication of the cathedral to Santa Maria la Mayor and the drastic change in architectural style.

A little known fact, Ibiza is home to two championship golf courses. Grab your friends and head out onto the fairways. You’ll be lured in by the tranquil charm and panoramic views. No matter whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, you’ll find these greens quite challenging.

If you’d like to get a glimpse of the entire island from water, you can take a ride on the Ibiza Star or Formentara Star which depart from Marina Botafoch and La Savina Port. These cruises are perfect for large or small groups. Cruceros Formenta offers various types of cruises; everything from day outings where you can soak up maximum rays to the Klasik which is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

You can find full tours of the island by sea or shore. Check out Panorama Excursions who offer services from 845 am until 5 pm on Saturday and Wednesday. Trips with Panorama Excursions will take you to the salt pans that were brought to an end by the Carthaginians 2000 or more years ago. You’ll find a little bit of something for everyone with one of these guide based tours.

If you’re ready to take a break from your luxury accommodations, you can feel safe and secure wondering in to town for a bite to eat and drinks if you wish. Don’t miss Aguas Blancas eatery. Try their renowned seafood paella for a treat thats simply to die for! There are plenty of clubs around town, after all, this island is known as party central.

You may be planning on a night of club and bar hopping but chances are, once you get to Pacha, you won’t want to leave. Pacha is an ultra chic nightclub that premiers the hottest new DJs from all over Europe for you dancing pleasure. Regardless of where you go, you’re going to have a great time on the island of Ibiza.
