South Pacific Cruises ? Planning a Cruise in and Around Australia

South Pacific Cruises ? Planning a Cruise in and Around Australia

There is a great deal that goes into planning a cruise around the coastal waters of Australia to tour the islands of the South Pacific. While they’re one of the best ways to see that region, cruises do require a bit of thought and planning getting all the details down. Thankfully a good agent can help you sort out the details however some items will be left to you for final decision.

One of the big things to consider when you’re planning a South Pacific cruise is the stateroom or cabin.

From small ships to massive cruise liners, you’ll often have a variety of choices (with some ships numbers more than a dozen room types). Each of these different rooms has a different location on the ship, a different view, different amenities and of course a different price.

When putting together a cruise package, a common question posed by travelers is how to get a free upgrade on a room – or basically how to get something a little better without having to spend more.

Keep in mind that there’s no secret to getting a free or reduced upgrade when you’re planning a cruise. Sometimes what you pay is left to luck – much like hotels and airlines. There are however a number of things you can do while planning your vacation in the South Pacific that can improve your chances of getting a better room – something with better portholes, a private veranda, or a room near the galley or library.

Book your Cruise Early On

Cruises tend to sell out of the more expensive and the cheapest rooms first, so if you book early there’s a chance you might be able to work out an upgrade. Be one of the first to book a cheap cabin and you get upgraded as the cruise gets closer (while demand for your cabin category increases)

Cruise Frequently

If this is your first cruise, this may not apply but if you plan on taking more than one trip to the South Pacific with the same company then a Cruise line award you with an upgrade – again much like an airline or hotel. Other comps can include free net access, free laundry or some other kind of perk depending on how many days you’ve sailed. Of course, this does have its disadvantages as a cruise line may not comp or upgrade someone that already loves to sail with them.

Be a First-Timer on your South Pacific Cruise

It’s not uncommon for a cruise line to upgrade someone in order to get them “hooked” on using their cruise services. Upgrades are a great marketing method to keep new cruisers in love with a certain company to ensure that they return and boast about their great experience.

Ask your Agent!

Talk to the agent who is handling your travel to the South Pacific when you’re ready to book your cruise and talk about it some more as the trip gets closer. If you’re working with an agent that’s experienced in working with the cruise liners that sail in the South Pacific then they may know which ships are more likely to upgrade. Remember, it never hurts to ask.

Book a Guarantee Cabin

If you book a Guarantee it just means that you’re booking within a specific category and not a specific room. The guarantee is that you either get the room within your category or a nicer one if that category fills. This gives you a greater advantage and a higher likelihood of an upgrade than those who book a specific room on the ship.

Monitor the Price Before & After you Book

Many agents and cruise lines offer a low price guarantee so keep an eye on the prices after you book – don’t just let it be. The booking price may plummet or even drop just a little after your booking. With a low price guarantee, if that happens you’ll get a refund or shipboard credit. That can give you some extra funds toward an upgrade if you feel like pampering yourself.

You’re spending a lot to pamper yourself with a little Australian and South Pacific travel, there’s no harming in doing what you can to work on a room upgrade for your next cruise. Whether you’re cruising around New Zealand or hopping onto one of many Fiji cruises, there’s always an opportunity to save a little money – especially if you get the right package by booking with an agent that knows their way around the South Pacific Islands.

You owe it to yourself to finally take that dream vacation. Discover why thousands of people choose <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link/4047726']);” href=”http://www.southpacificvacations.org/”>South Pacific Cruises to finally take that island getaway in a tropical paradise. Visit New Zealand, the waters around Turtle Island or over 300 islands around Fiji; Click now for more information about taking your own <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link/4047726']);” href=”http://www.southpacificvacations.org/”>South Pacific Island Cruise.

Cruise Planning – A Few Helpful Tips

Some helpful tips to make your cruise planning experience easy!
You’ve decided to take the leap and choose a cruise holiday. Congratulations, you won’t be disappointed! Now you may be thinking where do I go from here?
There are literally hundreds of cruises to choose from at any given time of the year. How can I possibly find one that’s right for us?

Here are few things we as a family consider in cruise planning:

? Where in the world do we want to cruise? This will greatly narrow down our choices.

? How much vacation time do we have available? What length of cruise will suit our budget?

? When do we want to travel? What dates are we available to leave?

? What port do we want to disembark from? Keep in mind travelling costs and time to your port of disembarkation.

? Which cruise line should we choose? Do they depart to our selected holiday destination and on dates we are able to travel? Do they offer the best value for our family? I personally look for all of the above!

Cruise Planning – Easy and Fun

Cruise planning can be fun, especially when the whole family is involved in the process. It builds excitement and anticipation toward the upcoming vacation. Get everyone involved and share ideas, thoughts, and suggestions.
Research is very important in planning any family holiday. The internet is an excellent research tool, if not the best resource for your cruise planning project. Be sure to visit individual cruise line websites for information on what they have to offer, or drop by a travel agency and pick up colourful literature on your selected destination.

Check Out Review Sites When Cruise Planning

Online reviews are also a key asset in research. Reputable review sites such as Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic are a good start. Get general reader feedback on cruise destinations, cruise lines, service, cleanliness and so on. This all helps in cruise planning and selecting the right cruise for you and your family.

Beware! Reviews are helpful but not something you should solely rely on. Everyone is very different in tastes and expectations. Review sites will give you a general idea and feel for what you may or may not expect.
Reputable travel companies have endless amounts of information available at your fingertips. Whether you receive the information online or at their door, it’s there for the taking.

Travel information is everywhere and there for the taking! So take advantage of everything you can. So go online and visit some reputable travel review sites and travel companies. Stop in at a travel agency in your local mall, they will be more than happy to assist you and pass on all the free travel brochures you would like. It’s fun and easy to do to get you started with cruise planning!
Is your life just too busy to take the time to plan that perfect vacation?

Well, don’t worry you’re like most out there in today’s busy world. Cruise planning, or for that matter planning any vacation, takes a great deal of time. Travel consultants can assist in the planning process, suggest options and do extensive research for you, saving you valuable time.

The best part of travel consultants is that their advice and suggestions are absolutely free! So have fun and get started cruise planning the way that suits you best!

Happy travels!

Planning Your Custom Home Closet Designs

Planning Your Custom Home Closet Designs

Article by Gavin Cruise

Planning Your Custom Home Closet Designs

Custom Home Closet Designs can become tricky if you’re not laying out your needs and requirements and plan beforehand. In a modern world where markets are tough, companies have realized and improved on their services and prices according to people’s budget so buying or building your ideal closet has become very affordable for everyone. Consider the alternatives and increasing the value on your property then investing in custom home closet designs is not a bad way to do just that.
One of the hardest parts in building your custom home closet designs is the planning process. First off it’s important to point out that there are initially two choices available to you in acquiring your custom built closets. The first choice is to get in contact with private companies or contractors that specialize in these services. Secondly you have the option of visiting you local home depot. Many of these stores have great catalogues featuring a wide variety of cabinets, closets and wardrobes that range from movable clothes racks to bathroom linen cabinets. Some of them also provide a service whereby they can make small adjustments to your preference in designs.
Now that we have that out of the way it’s time to start planning your custom home closet design:
* Figure out how much space you need and how much you can sacrifice. Sketch up a very rough drawing indicating how you would prefer the layout to function for example wardrobes for hanging clothes, designated shelves for all your loose items like shirts, socks, underwear etc…
* A good place to focus is to begin separating items in your closets like placing all your coats in one area, button t-shirts in another, shoes, dresses, jackets and bed sheets. Continue until you have everything neatly separated into groups.
* Once you have done the above you will have a very good idea of how much space you’ll need for all your items.
* One other good accessory to have are baskets that would serve as a holding place for all those hard to store items like hats or scarves so make sure to add them into your design. These are easily available from your local home depot.
* Keep a strong emphasis on keeping your items grouped in types otherwise things will get messy and that’s exactly what you are trying to avoid
* Create a custom home closet design that will best suit your available space and layout of your current room like placing parallel hanging bars that will work great to save you space by hanging your dresses or skirts.
* If you are working together with a designer they will also help you in choosing a layout that best fits your room.
When creating your ultimate home it pays off to plan your designs carefully and remember to consider viewing it as an investment on your home and property. Custom home closet designs are a great way to add value and will appeal to any future buyers.

Reasons to Utilize a Travel Agent when Planning a Vacation

Reasons to Utilize a Travel Agent when Planning a Vacation

Utilizing the services of a travel agent to plan your next vacation is something that you might want to consider. It is usually a good idea to proceed with caution when dealing with money. However, when planning out a vacation, which has many different variables which can impact the amount you spend, you do not want to leave anything to chance. Here are some reasons why working with a travel agent to plan your vacation is a good idea.

Reason #1: Your travel agent has extensive knowledge about trip planning

When you’re planning a vacation, the process can become pretty stressful. In many cases, you are not sure what the weather conditions will be like when you arrive at your destination, and it can be difficult to find your way around if you are not familiar with your surroundings. Also, in many cases, once you have finally settled, you are not sure which activities and sights to experience! A travel agent can help you navigate through all of these obstacles.

If you’re the type of person who enjoys simply choosing a destination, getting there, and letting the rest take care of itself, then planning your trip isn’t necessarily difficult. But if you prefer to have your itinerary carefully laid out before you head off, then a good travel agent can really save you some time and unnecessary frustration.

Your travel agent can help you choose when to fly, find a comfortable hotel within your budget, plan your itinerary for you, and provide you with up-to-date information about travel documents, vaccinations, and anything else you might need to travel to your chosen destination. With the help of your travel agent, planning your trip should be much easier and less stressful, leaving you free to enjoy yourself that much more.

Reason #2: Your travel agent can help you save money

Typically, working with a travel agent won’t cost you any more than if you had planned the trip yourself. In fact, you are more likely to save money than to spend more money. Typically, travel agents have access to cheaper flights, lower hotel prices, and more, because they deal in bulk, rather than just booking one trip (as you would do if you booked the trip yourself). They have access to bulk discounts, which means that even with their commission added on you will rarely pay any more than if you had booked the trip yourself. You will also save yourself the hassle of planning and booking the trip alone.

A good travel agent can help you save money. They know when the cheapest times to fly are, when hotel off-peak seasons start, how to get bulk flight deals, and other tricks of the trade that can help you get more for your money.

Reason #3: Your travel agent is familiar with your destination

If you are traveling to an exotic or obscure location which you have never visited before, then working with a knowledgeable and experienced travel agent is a must. Your travel agent can help you find accommodations, events and activities, and provide you with tips on traveling safely. If you manage to hit the jackpot and find a travel agent who has actually visited your destination, they might also be able to tell you about those little bonuses that most people won’t know about. Places such as the weekend markets, where to find authentic souvenirs, and the best restaurants, all the things that will make your trip even more enjoyable.

Reason #4: Your travel agent can help you get the vacation you really want

From rock-climbing in the Swiss Alps to a relaxing beach vacation in Spain, there are vacations to suit every requirement and personality type. With so many choices available in terms of destinations and activities, it’s not always easy to know what you want.

What do you want out of your vacation, and do you know how to achieve it? Your travel agent definitely does, and can use his or her experience and knowledge to make sure you get the trip you really want. A good travel agent will quickly find out exactly what you want out of your trip, and will go the extra mile to make sure everything, from flights, hotels, and activities, meets your needs.

Reason #5: It just makes sense

Working with a travel agent won’t cost you any more than booking the trip yourself, and you may even save money. Also, a travel agent can save you a lot of time and headaches, and you may even find that a knowledgeable agent will be able to help you access some of the best and most exclusive events and activities at your destination, which you might not have known about without the help of your travel agent.

Really, it just makes good sense to plan your vacation with the help of a travel agent. With all of these important factors coming into play when you book your next trip, there’s definitely no good reason not to use a travel agent!
