Do We Need Another Airport Expansion in Philadelphia

Airport Expansion in Philadelphia

“-We have an inevitable difficulty with the expansion of airports. Quite simply, we all love to have the airport reasonably close to the community.

However, if close to the urban base, any expansion necessarily results in huge losses of jobs andor residents.”

Hopefully they are rethinking this. What a waste of taxpayers money. They would be better off re-planning systems and procedures, and making the airlines more accountable for their overbooking procedures.

Booking A Philadelphia Hotel For Inauguration Eve

November 19th, 2008 No comments

I found an interesting article last night from Harrisonburg, West Virginia. In that article the reporter went on to explain how all the hotels in Harrisonburg are all booked up for Jan 19th, the eve of the inauguration of Barack Obama as President of the United States.

Some Quotes from the article by Mallory Brooke:

“Travelers have booked up practically every hotel from Washington DC to
Harrisonburg for the historic Inauguration Day. Valley residents who plan to attend the event might as well stay in the Valley and travel form home.”

“More hotels than not are sold out for the eve of Inauguration Day. A few still have vacant rooms, but they’re going fast.”

“And most, if not all of the future hotel guests, did not have guaranteed tickets to the Inauguration. Kyle said that she asked guests if they had tickets, and most of them said that it didn’t matter. One way or another, a million people are expected to make their way to Washington DC on January 20th.”

Well it occurred to me that Philadelphia is about 2 hours from Washington DC also, and I know that all the hotels here are not booked yet. Including many that are close to Philadelphia Intl. Airport.

Well I did a little checking and found this link for you to get in to some of these hotels. You see they have rooms already allotted to this site and if you act fast, you can get a room for Inauguration Eve through the back door.

Philadelphia Hotels

Thats a special link to book hotel rooms only through that site.

I did a quick check and found rooms to be available as of today for as little as $79.95, But after this post gets out, I wouldn’t wait too long, especially if you are coming in from anywhere north of New York.

If you want to book an airport parking package, just go to my main site at:

Well good luck to everyone, and have some fun at the Inauguration. Its going to be an historic event.
