The Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas, while not...

Being a seasoned traveler, among the first things I consider prior to starting my journey is the hotel where I will stay. I should conclude that my countless stays in hotels in many different places have turned me to some sort of hotel specialist. One of my favorite destinations is Las vegas, and the renowned casinos is not the only reason, but also for the cuisine, first class hospitality and dazzling nightlife.

To me, a visit to Las vegas is not complete without staying at the Stratosphere Hotel Las Vegas. This hotel is situated at the Northern part of the popular strip. Stratosphere has six restaurants, a marvelous casino as well as all-night entertainment.

I have a number of explanations why I find it difficult staying any place else besides the Stratosphere. First off, the rooms’ coziness and style is way above average, for Las Vegas too. This makes up for the fact that Stratosphere hotel is a bit isolated from the famous strip and a large number of other Las Vegas attractions. The distance has its merits too; I learnt that after spending a whole day and probably a part of the night hustling and bustling in Las vegas, the Stratosphere was the greatest destination to sleep due to its genteel environment.

Furthermore, Stratosphere presents a remarkable yet affordable dining moment and it’s rooms are very spacious. The gym is among my best spots because it is equipped with the most advanced fitness equipment as well as proficient and helpful fitness instructors.

Additional exclusive characteristic of this hotel is the freestanding observation tower which in fact is the highest tower west of Mississippi. There are both outdoor and indoor areas for observation, granting one a wonderful panoramic scene of Las Vegas. If you could do with some excitement, the roller coaster’s track on the side of the deck as well as the tower will give you a delightful spin to summarize a wonderful time. A guest may also catch another scenery of Las Vegas from the mobile restaurant at top of the tower. I adore winding up my day here, with the sight of the city as nigh closes in, enjoying a delicious meal, or modestly drinking wine.

Spending The Festive Season In The Smoky Mountains

December 18th, 2009 No comments

Whilst traditional family vacations bring home thoughts of warmth, the lapping of the sea, and the feel of sand beneath your toes on a white beach, at Christmas time there are few better places to visit than the great smoky mountains of Tennessee.

This destination is a common tourist attraction throughout the year. However, it has a whole different perspective on it around the holiday and festive season. It is such an enchanting place to visit during this period and is a thrilling festive treat for the entire family. With the bright and twinkling lights, the sparkling snow and the beautiful sound of carols in the air, both parent and child will be unable to contain their holiday cheer.

There are attractions to suit all needs and desires. If you are with family, then its best to decide what you wish to do and then choose from the multitude of attractions on offer so that you get the best experience possible. There is the Ober Gatlinburg ski resort for those who enjoy snow sports and ice skating. For those who love a bit of wildlife, the aquarium is sure to impress. And for those seeking Santa, the Christmas Palace is the place to be.

For those who enjoy a bit of wildlife, there is Ripleys aquarium, sure to be a favorite with the kids. And lets not forget the incredible Christmas Palace that is truly beautiful and is sure to be enjoyed by all.

One of the crowning jewels on offer and display is Clingmans Dome. Standing up above the mountains at 6643 feet, it is the highest point in the range and all of Tennessee. On a clear day it is possible to see into seven different states from the observation tower and a chance to take some holiday snaps for friends and family to drool over on your return.

Other popular places to see are the Dollywood theme park, an the Space Needle. The latter is particularly exciting for teenagers looking to have some fun in the arcade at the bottom. To say there is something for everyone would be quite an understatement.

To top off the trip, a day out to the Christmas palace is a must. Seeing Santa sing melodies to a group of bewildered children truly sums up the Christmas spirit, whilst taking a wander around the grounds will cause even the most anti Christmas campaigner to smile in a childlike way. For anyone who calls themselves a fan of Christmas and the traditional cheer it brings, this is one that should be right atop your list. Unless you were to head out to the North Pole and find yourself upon Santa’s grotto itself, there truly is not a better place to suck in all the festive goodness of the season.
