Romance at the Beach is Easy with these Tips

November 21st, 2009 No comments

While you are planning your creative family beach vacations you should not forget the romantic element. The creative aspect can always include a little “creative romance” now can’t it? In this article we will outline some ways in which you can have “creatively” romantic beach vacations.

#1 – Pack a special picnic lunch and pick a favorite spot on the beach to share it with your special loved one. Don’t forget to pack some of those special treats you enjoy so much.

#2 – Why book just a regular hotel room when the Honeymoon Suite is always available? It can add a bit of spice back into your life, and bring back those special memories of “days gone by”…

#3 – Get the Front Desk Involved. They know the area very well, and are up on those special local attractions and places to eat. They would love to work on this little “romantic” project for you.

#4 – Switch Planning. Ask your partner to plan the perfect day, in which you provide no input, but go along with it. Then switch, it’s your turn to plan the perfect day.

#5 – Be sure to give lots of compliments to each other. All too often we take each other for granted, and we all love to hear nice things. Be sure to add a few compliments here and there to make your beach vacation romantic.

#6 – Room Service is a Treat. For a few bucks more, you can have your meals delivered to you in your room. Why not share breakfast in bed? How about a nice evening meal while you watch the “late show”?

#7 – Exchange love letters. We all love to get letters, and LOVE to get love letters. Think of nice things and thoughts and express them on the written page.

#8 – Star Gazing. Evenings at the beach are magical. Why not wander down to the beach one evening and look into the sky with that special loved one? Don’t forget to bring along a nice bottle of wine…

#9 – Beach Walks. Walking along the beach, hand-in-hand, can be very romantic. What a great way to experience love, and share a few intimate thoughts and words.

#10 – Go to your local department or hardware store and wander over to the sign section. Pick up a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and take it to the beach. Be sure to use it…enough said…

#11 – Bring along that Special Bottle of Wine. A little bubbly can make any occasion a little brighter…especially romantic ones. Keep it cool in your room’s mini-bar if you have one.

#12 – Explore the Shopping Area Together. If your partner happens to show an interest in a special item, why not double-back later that evening and pick it up for them? You could surprise them with it before you nod off to sleep.

Do you think you will be able to use any of these ideas? We have other ideas at our creative family beach vacations web site if you are interested? Why not navigate over and check our web site out?

Visit the Beach While Touring Other Countries

When many people decide to tour the country or go on an outdoor vacation, they often find themselves choosing the beach. Although they may not have considered themselves as “beach lovers”, the idea of a beach just seems to fit in their vacation plans. You may be a beach lover or you may just decide to vacation on the beach while you’re touring the country. Whatever the reason, there are some things you need to consider before you depart.

When most people think of going to a beach in an unfamiliar city
or country, they usually look for the most well known beaches. While these are usually beautiful and popular, they are not always the best choice. You’ll probably talk to friends that have vacationed at certain beaches and get their opinions. Perhaps, you’ll do an internet search on popular beaches. Once you’ve found out what some of the “hot” vacation spots are, you can make your choices. Keep in mind, however, that the “hot spots” are also going to be the busy spots. If you don’t want to be in the middle of many tourists, you may be better choosing a destination that is not quite so popular.

If crowds don’t bother you, then you have many great choices. However, if you’re planning a quiet and romantic getaway, you may want to look for a more secluded beach for your vacation spot. If you will be traveling with children, keep in mind it’s very hard to watch them when they are in the middle of a huge crowd.

If you are looking for a secluded beach, you may want to check into going to an inland beach. They have the same qualities as a regular beach, and are usually a body of water off a river or lake. Your travel agent may be able to give you some tips on inland beaches. You can also do an internet search on inland beaches. You may be able to find some great deals and information on the internet.

Vacationing along the coast is also an option for your outdoor vacation. It will give you the chance to tour part of the country as well as spend some time at the beach. Beach shots make great photographs. You can find some great coastal beaches in Florida, North Carolina, California, Texas or Long Island. All you need to decide is what part of the country you want to tour. Or you can go overseas to a place such as Costa Blanca.

Although beaches play a large part in an outdoor vacation, it doesn’t have to be your main choice for an outdoor vacation. Many families are enjoying the fun involved with camping. Campsites are not as primitive as they were years ago. They now offer many conveniences that were not available in the past. Bathrooms, campsites, grills, electricity and even cabins are available in many camping sites. This will give you an outdoor vacation that the entire family will enjoy as well as beach time. Many romantic vacations have taken place while camping.

Having Fun In The Sun: Beach Activities

A beach holiday is considered by many to be a perfect way to relax. Your children can become little artists and use sand to express their vivid imagination. Adults can spend their time in the sun relaxing, playing sports, or just trying to get that perfect tan. There are also activities for the adventurous types like exploring the sea universe, tide pools, or drift wood. If you need to get away from stress, you will find out that nature in all its forms can contribute to a better state of mind; that warm breeze will surely help you get away from the stressful city life. However, sometimes you may experience distress or end up in uncomfortable situations, so it is necessary to learn some tips in order to avoid such things.

Traveling by car

Traveling by car is a popular way to get where you need, during your holiday; make sure that you clean your car thoroughly before heading for your destination, otherwise you will risk having no place for your luggage. Also, you will need to think ahead a bit and provide your glovebox with some first aid objects like: pills for headaches and colds, bandages and antiseptic solutions, and, of course, some after tanning lotions. If you have long hair, a good idea is to take some scrunchies with you as they will prove useful on the beach. Also, you will need to check your tires and make sure that you have enough oil, just to avoid any delaying on the road. Take a map with you, you may need it later.

Traveling with the kids

Traveling with kids is always a challenge. They may be particularly excited and impatient when they know they are going on beach holidays. Make sure they have cool water bottles and healthy snacks to munch. Try a simple car game to make the time pass. Many kids like looking for letters of the alphabet on signs. If several people get involved it can be quite fun.

Protect your skin

With beach holidays particularly, there is always a need to provide for skin safety. Be particularly careful about being in the sun for long stretches of time between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Use a sunblock with a high SPF rating and replace it after getting wet or drying off with your towel. The towel you choose can make a difference too. Thick towels get heavy and tend to trap a lot of sand. You may find you like thin towels at the beach. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes and some sort of foot protection to keep your feet from being burned on the hot sand.

Just take care of a few small problems before going to the beach to make sure that you will enjoy your vacation. When coming back you will have wonderful memories and your batteries charged. Your kids will surely ask you when the next vacation will be.

Assuredly, even a colossal treasury of fun like California features small pockets containing marvelous surprises adding beacons of joy to your California travels and Avila Beach is one such gem which you should not miss.

The beach itself is almost one half mile long in length and is sheltered by the San Luis Bay by Point San Luis which is in-land and Fossil Point on the other side.

Due to its position on the beach between Point San Luis and Fossil Point and since it faces a southerly direction, Avila beach enjoys the best climate on the central coast. This makes it the warmest of other beaches on this section of the coast.

An Avila beach vacation would truly delight you in this matchless and beautiful town. There are many types of water sports open including of course surfing. Yes, other things do await besides laying on the beach all day in Avila Beach. Consider options other than your typical surfing, sunning, and fishing. There’ s the Marine Institute to learn about the indigenous marine life close to Avila Beach. Also the Avila Wine Trail offers a nice diversion from the ocean.

A fantastic thing to do is have a soak in one of a few resorts offering healing mineral waters. Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort is one such resort. This establishment which is nestled in the canyon between Avila Beach and Highway 101 taps into the water in a nearby hill-side which has been burbling forth hot, energizing waters ever since being discovered by oil men at the turn of the century. In case you want to lodge elsewhere, it is not necessary to be a guest at the Sycamore to savor a nice soak. A dozen or more hot tubs cleave to a steep wood studded hillside and can be accessed by paths and steps. Tubs can be leased by by those so choosing to for less than $50 for two for about a hour.

Avila Beach is a small laid-back hamlet surrounded by sloping hills with the added attraction of restaurants on the pier. You can even lease a place to stay with local owners for your Avila beach vacation if a hotel doesn’t appeal to you.

The greater portion of the beach area is untouched but for a couple of blocks next to the beach that include a small residential area, some lodging, local stores and some newly built housing further away from the beach including a golf course.

Avila beach is a year-round weather paradise with day time temperatures ranging from the sixty’s in the winter and seventy’s during the summer.

Are you looking for an uncomplicated nice beach vacation with small town charm and history? I’ll wager the answer is yes and I am sure an Avila beach vacation is in the near future for you and your crew.
