Romance at the Beach is Easy with these Tips

November 21st, 2009 No comments

While you are planning your creative family beach vacations you should not forget the romantic element. The creative aspect can always include a little “creative romance” now can’t it? In this article we will outline some ways in which you can have “creatively” romantic beach vacations.

#1 – Pack a special picnic lunch and pick a favorite spot on the beach to share it with your special loved one. Don’t forget to pack some of those special treats you enjoy so much.

#2 – Why book just a regular hotel room when the Honeymoon Suite is always available? It can add a bit of spice back into your life, and bring back those special memories of “days gone by”…

#3 – Get the Front Desk Involved. They know the area very well, and are up on those special local attractions and places to eat. They would love to work on this little “romantic” project for you.

#4 – Switch Planning. Ask your partner to plan the perfect day, in which you provide no input, but go along with it. Then switch, it’s your turn to plan the perfect day.

#5 – Be sure to give lots of compliments to each other. All too often we take each other for granted, and we all love to hear nice things. Be sure to add a few compliments here and there to make your beach vacation romantic.

#6 – Room Service is a Treat. For a few bucks more, you can have your meals delivered to you in your room. Why not share breakfast in bed? How about a nice evening meal while you watch the “late show”?

#7 – Exchange love letters. We all love to get letters, and LOVE to get love letters. Think of nice things and thoughts and express them on the written page.

#8 – Star Gazing. Evenings at the beach are magical. Why not wander down to the beach one evening and look into the sky with that special loved one? Don’t forget to bring along a nice bottle of wine…

#9 – Beach Walks. Walking along the beach, hand-in-hand, can be very romantic. What a great way to experience love, and share a few intimate thoughts and words.

#10 – Go to your local department or hardware store and wander over to the sign section. Pick up a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and take it to the beach. Be sure to use it…enough said…

#11 – Bring along that Special Bottle of Wine. A little bubbly can make any occasion a little brighter…especially romantic ones. Keep it cool in your room’s mini-bar if you have one.

#12 – Explore the Shopping Area Together. If your partner happens to show an interest in a special item, why not double-back later that evening and pick it up for them? You could surprise them with it before you nod off to sleep.

Do you think you will be able to use any of these ideas? We have other ideas at our creative family beach vacations web site if you are interested? Why not navigate over and check our web site out?

Portugal has many great things to offer to its tourists, and one of those is the region of Algarve. It is the southernmost point of Portugal, and lies next to the Atlantic Ocean. Due to its clean beaches it is a very popular tourist destination. There are around two hundred kilometers of sandy beaches, and the region is also very cheap for spending vacations. .

Despite being a very small region it has a rich history. Portugal produced some of the most well known explorers in the world who left their mark on the various colonies they helped the country discover. Due to the occupation of the Romans over this area, there are many Roman ruins still to be seen in Algarve, and the best ones to visit are the Milreu ruins.

If you are daring, you should take a trip to the Alentejo to have a look at the Roman temple at Evora. This is located in the centre of the city and its history could be dated back to the 2nd century. It is one of the well recognized memorials in Portugal from the Roman period.

Algarve was also taken over by the Moors in the past, and there is a lot of evidence of this in the structural design and ceramics of the area. Do not forget to visit the fort at Silves which was constructed by the Arabs in the 11th century. This fort is made of sandstone and should not be missed at any cost. Try to be sure that you also see Lagos which is the old inner city surrounded by protective walls. You’ll come across very thin streets, old shops, and finest food.

Algarve is famous for its Piri Piri Chicken which can be found all over the region. There is also great seafood dishes that you should try, and even sweets made out of dried fruits that you will find yourself building stocks off to take back home. You should try the acordas and the cataplanas, but both are seafood so you will only like them if you like seafood. You can also try the chicken based cerejada. Where To Find Cheap Beach Hotels

January 19th, 2009 No comments

Me and the Wife are always looking for a chance to sneak away with our friends to the beach. We all bring guitars and tambourines and play music around the fire while we grill some food. It’s the best.

I think the best time to go to the beach is when it gets cold. We don’t swim, but being there and watching the sun go down with my closest friends just gives a free feeling. We let go of the stress of our weekly lives, and just have fun.

When you go to the beach in the colder months though, camping outside is tough even when you’re right next to the fire. So we usually hop online and look for some cheap beach hotels to stay the night in.

The beach is for relaxation and fun. So I always make my hotel reservation before leaving my home to avoid disappointing evenings and stress galore. If they are booked up you have problems. Don’t let that stress be hanging on you at the beach where you are supposed to relax.

You can make reservations at almost any hotel online these days, so take advantage of it. Then you can go to the beach and not have to be thinking about where you’ll stay.

Remember that the beach is a place to have fun with your friends. Never bring the stresses of life with you when you are going to the beach. Just bring the guitar, the friends and the beer.
