I just wanted to let you all know that Colonial Airport parking near the Phila. Airport PHL had a coupon in last weeks Philadelphia Business Journal. The coupon is good for $1 per day off your bill, and doesn;t expire until next year 06/09

A new Aloft hotel will open in September
near the Philadelphia International Airport.

Aloft, by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. (NYSE:HOT),
is billed as “an urban-influenced design” brand with
“style and social atmosphere.”

Guest rooms will include high-tech features like
wireless Internet access and “one-stop connectivity”
for PDAs, cell phones, mp3 players and laptops.

“This hotel … will be a true oasis in style and creativity,”
said Nina Timani, an Aloft spokeswoman.

The hotel will open Sept. 8, Starwood said.
The street address will be 4301 Island Ave.

Rates will average $200 to $229 a night,
about double the average rate for airport hotels,
according to PKF Consulting, which tracks hotel rates.

were $111 in April and $167 in Center City Philadelphia.

The last time I had to fly out of the phila airport, trying to find a place to park in the longterm parking lot was a nightmare to say the least. When i got into the lot it took me another 20 minutes to find a spot and it was way out of the way. Another 10 minutes later the shuttle finally arrived to take me to my terminal. Not to mention paying over $12 a day to park, it was gonna cost me close to $150 just to park.

This time I’m gonna try something different. I went to AAAParkSleepFly
and I got a room at The Ramada near the airport. I will stay there the night before my trip, and when I get up in the morning all I have to do is go down to the lobby and catch the shuttle to the airport. None of this driving an hour to get to the airport the morning of my trip and searching for a place to park. then paying $150 for nothing.

For the same money I get to stay in a nice hotel room and park in the secured lot at The Ramada.

Not too many people know this but when you park at The Ramada at Phila Airport, they have a secure lot much like the airport, with gates and people actually know whats going on in the lot. And they have plenty of shuttle vans running every 15 minutes to the airport.

Now I’m looking forward to my trip, and I’ll let you know how it turns out.

The City of Philadelphia, Division of Aviation is updating the Noise Compatability Study for Philadelphia International Airport.

These Community Workshops will feature an

• Open House setting
• You can view updated noise maps for Philadelphia International Airport
• Share your views and suggestions
• Your comments will become part of the final report.

These workshops will be held in 5 locations around the area.

2. Wednesday, June 18th, 2008 at The Tinicum School, First and Seneca Streets, Essington, Pa.

4. Tuesday June 24th 2008 at The Cherry Hill Public Library, 1100 Kings Hwy. North, Cherry Hill, NJ
5. Wednesday June 25th 2008 at The Mercy Wellness Center, 2821 Island Ave, Phila., Pa
